The first match of the tournament will be played between Mumbai Indians (MI) Vs Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai. On the other hand final match of the IPL 2021 has been set to be played on 30 May at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. 

The VIVO IPL 2021 tournament is divided into two-phase, one is the league phase and the second is the knockout phase. In league phage 8 participating teams will be played one match with each other. On the other hand top four (4) teams from the league table forwarder to play knockout phase. In the knockout phase, there is a total of two (2) Eliminator, two (2) semifinals and one (1) final match will be played.
